Robert started in judo when he was 5 years old and has never stopped since. He has been teaching for over 20 years. His love of the sport of judo, and his desire to see it grow caused him to found Emerald City Judo in 1999. He believes that judo is an activity that can be practiced from early childhood up to and including seniors. Robert is a 4th degree black belt. His qualifications include being a nationally certified 'B' level teacher and a nationally certified 'C' level coach.
